A year ago, one of my friends told me about his go-to Korean place in Maginhawa (which I later found out wasn’t really along Maginhawa, but a side street called Malingap). The thought of visiting Donday Restaurant slipped my mind, up until my best friends insisted that we give Korean cuisine a try. The plan was to work our way up to Sariwon, and since we’re on a budget, we chose to begin with Donday.
How can you possibly go wrong with just PHP 299 for unlimited pork belly (and some cooked dishes)?
Cubao, Quezon City is slowly picking up pace with the addition of new establishments (read in the Araneta Center Facebook page that Uniqlo will open soon, hooray!). Fingers crossed that this marks the entry of other favorites like Sambokojin. Hehe.
The closest to Korean cuisine in the area would be Bon Chon. I love their cripsy chicken but I sometimes have kimchi and bibimbap craving attacks… like right now. If my memory serves me right, there is also a Korean grocery at Farmers’ Market. About time another Korean resto opens up in Araneta Center: Kogi Bulgogi!
