Pic-to-Comic version of me by Kajo Baldisimo for Samsung Galaxy Note. Thank you!
So, Samsung Philippines collaborated with Pinoy comic book artists for their Pic-to-Comic promo. I came across this last week and submitted a photo just for kicks. With the volume of submissions, I didn’t think I would be picked. This afternoon, I saw
my face, no make that my sketch on their social media sites. Isn’t it the coolest thing, the accuracy and details of it all? The sketch somewhat shows my “intense” side with the accent color (or at least that’s what two wise people told me upon talking to me for the first time, separate encounters at that. I still haven’t figured out if that is a good or bad thing).
Which reminds me that this is ANOTHER (BABY) STEP CLOSER TO A GALAXY NOTE! First an encounter, now a sketch… I bet what’s next… (I am rhyming!!!) is an actual unit! XD I proclaim myself a Samsung Galaxy Note’s Un-bassador.

This is precisely what companies and brands have been doing in the past decade, churning out products at lightning speed and making people upgrade even after a few months of buying a phone with almost the same specs. We now live in an age where there are far too many choices, with most devices sharing striking similarities with each other. Nothing wrong with that, because more choices are better for consumers.
A lot of brands in one frame
We end up wanting what we do not necessarily need. Which is fine if you are filthy rich, but for those who work hard for the money, thinking it over a million times is a must-do before the big purchase. Before you buy your next gadget, think of when and where you are gonna use it, and if are willing to bear the weight (for some devices) when traveling. More importantly, which of your devices would you bring while in a long-haul flight? So the PSP can be used to play games but it is also an excellent device to watch movies. Oh wait, I can do that on an iPad too! And I can Draw Something… But wait, my Android phone is smaller but I also want to listen to my entire CD collection, which is on my iPod. Okay, I’ll bring the music player instead but it doesn’t take nice photos… You get my drift.
