As a city girl, I was curious about Palawan. I am not a beach person. I even dread summer because I easily tan and I can’t stand the heat. I would even bring an umbrella with me to the beach if it isn’t such an inconvenience.
It’s hard not to fall in love with beaches, as you can see above. Considering that the first island we visited gave me a wound to remember and rendered me limping for the next few days of our trip, the pain cannot overpower my senses. Let me give you a visual tour of the island where I had that little mishap and see for yourself how it was all too easy to be forgiving.
Honda Bay is composed of 16 islands. For our day tour, we only visited three.
A couple of minutes away from our accommodation is the wharf, where a motorized boat will take us to the islands.
I fell asleep countless times. The boat ride was relaxing (and thank goodness for calm waves!).
We were early and it was off-peak season. Incredible timing. More or less five groups had lunch at Starfish Island. Perfect for photo-ops.
The water was semi-transparent, but the rocks can give you a scratch or two. FYI, that’s not where I got wounded. Haha.
One island down, two more to go!
P.S. All these water pictures will make you think of Water Features for your garden, right? Haha.
