Taiwan welcomed us with fifteen degrees of coldness—a far cry from the extreme heat of the summer, nothing could be more mouthwatering than a warm bowl of spicy soup and unlimited ice cream. Contradicting, isn’t it? Well, there was nothing we could do since Tian Wai Tian in Ximending offered eat-all-you-can vegetables, meats, drinks AND Haagen Dazs ice cream.
Just look for this sign if you don’t know how to read Chinese characters… just like me. The funny thing was, we didn’t realize how near it was from the hotel we were staying. It dawned on me that the signage matched the characters I included in the itinerary (because OC people roll like that), which saved us a lot of time in finding the restaurant. My uncle insisted that we dine there on the first night since he likes hotpots. I do, too.
A quick tour of Tian Wai Tian:
P.S. They have a two-hour time limit, so if you’re the type who takes forever to chew, this might not be the place for you (unintentional rhyming strikes again).
