Blast From The Past

Suddenly felt the urge to go through my CD collection to unearth Ryan Cabrera CDs that have yet to be signed (that’s the fangirl spirit!) after looking for seatbelt cutter. Ryan’s the second Ryan in my life, the first and the numero uno being Lee Ryan of Blue (bet you knew that already).

This guy caught my attention with his first single “On The Way Down” which featured a then-favorite, Ashlee Simpson. On a Monday, I am waiting automatically played in my head, haha. To be honest, they are too coo-some twosome in the video; no wonder some think that the track was inspired by Ashlee. To be honest, I feel that Ryan pertains to God as his savior, but that’s unclear since he didn’t make the Y in the yous capitalized. Perhaps he left that detail out to make the song open to interpretation.

Then he followed that hit up with “True” which was nothing short of spectacular when you glaze over the lyrics, but the delivery and simplicity made it so appealing and genuine sounding.

I just feel like going through some of my CDs recently. Haha. I’m definitely bored.
