Whenever I pass by Katipunan Avenue Extension, I always find something I haven’t seen before. I automatically add all those new establishments to my list of must-tries. Sandwicheese is one of them newbies on the block that I got to try recently.
Something’s characteristically Banapple about Sandwicheese and that shouldn’t be a surprise since they’re sister stores (haha, why am I inventing terms again?). It’s literally a couple of steps away from the first Banapple branch. To be honest, we initially planned to buy a sandwich at Sandwicheese then transfer at Banapple for the lasagna roll ups, but decided against the idea at the last minute. Maybe we can do that next time since they’re owned by the same people?
Moving on, since I am a big fan of Banapple’s potato salad, we just had to order that at Sandwicheese. The waitress said it’s different from Banapple’s but my tastebuds disagree. Nothing wrong with it, just expected way too much. I think I am better off finding out how to make these things from scratch instead of finding out the nuts and bolts of other stuff that I still can’t figure out till now. Haha!
I’m not really a big fan of sandwiches but I was happy with my order.
Meanwhile, my mom ordered another bestseller, the Signature Frankfurter.
I’m not sure if I’m digging the cornmeal bun, though. But then again, I am not a sandwich person. Either way, I see Sandwicheese as an alternative to the many burger joints along Katipunan.
