News broke out that Multiply will cease to be a social networking site later this year. Out of curiosity, I logged in, intending to save some files… that is, until I discovered my blog posts. *cringe*
Multiply was a hit during my college life. Here are some gems off my posts that involved the best block in the world, CATU. ♥
1. Virtual Class
I really can’t recall this virtual class thingy, but apparently, it happened. Names have been changed.
N. L.: hello
M. C.: SINO KA?
M. C.: AYYY SI MAAM
M. C.: HAHAHHA
R. A.: sira ka M.C.!!!
R. A.: haha si ma’am yan/1
S. D.: hi maaaaaam….
Me: Hehehe. Hi ma’am!
M. C.: HAHAHHA! KALA KO KUNG SINO EH
2. Quote from Jamie:
Sabi nga ni Jules Renard, “Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.” Salamat Jamie sa napakangandang quote.
3. My thoughts on Twilight and songs for it (okay, don’t judge!):
I can’t even remember where we got the word “tahak” from.
AND Boys Like Girls songs are swak. The right tahak. It rhymes. Hahahaha. I listened to their songs after I read the book, and I felt the Peyton Sawyer in me say, “I remember the day…” But “Hero/Heroine” is just PERFECT.
4. When Nokia was the standard:
Claud made me happy yesterday by letting me play Racket on her Nokia 7110! I missed that game! I missed the Navi scroll! I owned a Nokia 7110 before, too. Thank you Claud! Got my dose of happiness from nostalgia! Thank youuuuu!
5. Seh’s “invest in happiness” concept
Excerpt from chat:
Me: nawawalan na ako ng happiness.
Seh: invest na.. haha BI
Me: hehehe. wala nga akong mainvest
Me: lahat di pwede
6. UAAP days, school over sports.
Ang OA ko lang. Hahaha. Tume-teleserye levels pa si Tim!
UST ADMIN PLEASE MAGSUSPEND KAYO NG AFTERNOON CLASSES!

(excerpts from our chat)
F: what if last na yun?
Me: fatima alam mo pag kinokonsyensya mo ako
M: feeling ko iiyak ako
F: ako rin naiiyak
M: GUSTO KO TALAGA
F: isang araw lang
F: na maaaring baguhin ang LAHAT
M: i guess im just gonna stick to my faith
F: we can never can tell
M: ANO BAAAAAAA
M: kailangang magsuspend
Naku Tigers. Manalo kayo please.
7. Fangirling after school with Fatima
Birthday girl Angela suddenly blurted out “SM!” as to where we would spend our two-hour break. Five of us all trooped to the mall of Thomasians (LOL), SM San Lazaro. Inside the mall, while we were choosing a resto to dine in, the stage at the mall’s activity center caught Fatima’s eye. It read,
She quickly turned to me and asked, “Ano, nood ka M?”
I quickly affirmed without thinking. Haha! One of our Fun Friends mentioned that we have Scriptwriting class (3-6 pm). We did not decide to cut class. It is a miracle if I’d cut class because I just can’t. Our agreement was we would go straight back to SM San Lazaro after our class.
Scriptwriting class. Film-viewing, Bata, Bata Pa’no Ka Ginawa? Drama. Tears rolling down on some cheeks. HAHA!
Then right after our class, Fatima and I headed to SM. Lloren decided to join us. Surprise! The show’s over! Haha! But wait! Christian was still onstage, seated on a chair behind a makeshift table and was still signing autographs. I hurriedly purchased his album (it’s not even the new one, darn) and went straight to the stage, even forgetting to grab my change.
And then, *drumroll* fangirl moment.
Fatima and I went up the stage. I literally threw my phone and my jacket at Fatima while she “documented” my conversation with the romantic balladeer. Christian asked for my name and verified the spelling, thank God.
Fatima (to Christian): Ay, alam mo ba nagmamadali na ‘yan, kasi kala niya wala na siyang maaabutan!
MM: *gives this “what the” look to Fatima*
Christian: And for that I’ll give you a hug! (he then puts his hand on my shoulder)
MM: *My God*
On a related note, isn’t it sad when things aren’t the way they used to?
