The highlight of our Quezon trip: the Kamay ni Hesus Grotto.
My first visit was in 2003, and it was already a struggle for me back then to climb almost 300 steps to reach the top. But as the Miley Cyrus song goes, “It’s the climb.”
I was pleased to see all the improvements in the Kamay Ni Hesus compound, like this addition called Noah’s Ark.
The addition of plants make for a nice verdant touch.
None of these were present during my first visit, so I ended up stopping in my tracks every so often and just taking it all in.
It’s a personal achievement to make it in less than 20 minutes. I remember struggling some years back, because the steps were not evenly spaced, making the climb even harder than it already is.
