Chatuchak still opened that weekend, and because we were seeking good finds, we still went for a half-day visit.
Not a lot of stores were open that day, and it was just so HOT, I stopped looking around after 30 minutes and proceeded to sit at the bench near the tower to wait for my companions. Hardcore shopping and the insane heat just don’t mix.
We had lunch at an eatery near the hotel. They only serve different kinds of fried rice…
…at super low prices.
What makes the fried rice superb are these two:
I miss PATIS!
In the afternoon, we trekked to Siam Paragon. It’s an upscale mall near Central World. Personally, it reminds me of Shangri-La Plaza Mall here in the Philippines, only more sosyal and spacious. They have Balenciaga, Hermes and luxury cars!
These also caught my attention:
Their food hall can make anyone hungry. By wide selection, wide talaga.
I found myself falling in line at this stall. There was another milk tea kiosk in the area but Mr. Cup T had more customers waiting.
Guys drooled over these cars displayed at the lobby:
We went out to walk to MBK and was impressed with the lighting effects outside the mall.
And before I forget, I bumped into three celebrities that night: Leo, Nicholas and Tom (I just can’t find his picture)!
That sums up a day in Bangkok.
