The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word as “a vacation spent at home or nearby.” It was exactly what I did last weekend at EDSA Shangri-La. The hotel’s interiors had an old world charm going on that upon stepping inside, I completely forgot how Manila looked like. I looked up the hotel on travel websites (using their free highspeed Wi-Fi access) and found out that it is a 5-star one.
