Celebrated Father’s Day in advance at Spiral in Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. This is the ultimate nomnom experience. I believe they offer the largest buffet spread in Manila.

Spiral at Sofitel
The last time we ate here, I had countless slices of salmon sashimi. I’m very thankful that it didn’t upset my stomach. This time around, I actually did some research online on what to eat so that I don’t miss anything I might like. I learned that the hard way when we had a surprise buffet lunch at Cafe Ilang-Ilang in Manila Hotel (try the coffee, heard it’s good!). My Sofitel gameplan was to eat less of those raw delicacies so that I don’t feel bloated early on.

Happy Father's Day Chocolate Block
I’m still learning the ropes in shooting with wide aperture which doesn’t go well with scenes like the one below, but someone’s gotta learn through practice!

This was where they got the name

Intricate details
The funny thing about Spiral is that when you enter, the first thing you’d see is the dessert section.

Minicakes!

Fruits
If sweets are your weakness, you’re doomed. You must not start with dessert unless you simply want to start with sweets and you have room for more food later.

Chocolate fountains
This one’s for the kids:

Candies
I heard this is good:

Choco chip cookies
The highlights (aka stuff you should be coming back for more):

Roasted Prime Rib

Off to the grill

Cold cuts

Cheese

Pasta section

Breadsticks?

Seafood
Yup, I surveyed the entire place first.
