6/2(1+2)=?

6/2(1+2)=?

I don’t need a document management software. What I need is a new calculator ’cause my brain says the answer is 1. Some calculators say it’s 9. I’ve always thought you have to solve complex parts first (I think this is called “simplify”) and that you have to figure out the numbers in the parentheses first before you do multiplication or division (I believe this is called PEMDAS1) If the answer is not 1 then my advanced classes in MSA years ago are a waste. Uh-oh.

Paging math geeks! I’m no number master. I want to know what the correct answer is.

And because I’m not a logical thinker, The Big Bang Theory should incorporate this in an episode. It’ll be a joy to see Sheldon Cooper explain what the correct answer is.

And also, happy mother’s day to all moms out there!
