A Little Vain

A lot has changed since college. I’m the careless girl no more, the one who was gutsy enough to come to class without even combing her hair. Being in the Jenna Rink world has definitely made me more self-conscious. It’s more of an expectation rather than a requirement, but why say no to the idea of being always presentable?

And because I have been more conscious, I have been more curious—with beauty products. I tried my mother’s latest buy, the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I don’t know if it’s for age spots removal or what. It is expensive, so I asked her if I could try the cream and see if there were instant good effects on my skin.

Fair and Flare

The next day, I woke up to my face feeling the same as it were a night ago. Unlike other creams I slapped on my face ages ago that at least had a reaction (smooth to the touch or breakouts), this one did nothing. It’s kinda wrong to expect that there’ll be instantaneous effect, but you can never risk too much when it comes to skin care products especially when you apply it on your face.

Expectations come with the price tag.
