I woke up late today, and the first thing that hit me is that I might not be able to secure a stub for Yellowcard’s album signing session at SM Megamall Mega Atrium. Yellowcard, in case you don’t know, is composed of Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, Longineu W. Parsons III and Sean O’Donnell, and their music is pop/rock/alternative. Just the kind of genre I listen to, no wonder they’re one of my favorites.
What do you know, I arrived at the mall and found out I’m the 15th CD buyer. Coolness. I waited for hours (since I was too early) but the feeling of seeing them was beyond words. In my head, was like, “Wow, these are the guys behind my favorite songs!”
Photos galore:

I see myself on the screen!

Them taking videos of us fans? Priceless!

Prepping up

Hey Sean, whadup?

This guy even had white marker for the guys to sign his shirt! Cool. Wish I brought my Ocean Avenue CD

That girl below is awesome. She had a self-portrait with the guys as the background

Lucky host!
Used my kit lens (18-55mm) for these photos. Stating this to let you imagine how close I was to the stage.

Yay for my signed CD!
All those memories about “Ocean Avenue” came rushing back in after the event. I wish I could be there tomorrow for their concert.
Still, happy to have seen and talked to them up close! Here’s to wishing they come back for a second gig.
P.S. It’s a crazy concert weekend in Manila! Taylor Swift is also here, probably singing already at the Big Dome as I type.
