Like the previous post, I’ll let the photos do the talking for this too.
Our family is fond of buffets. For a change, we tried Sambokojin. Sambokojin is a grill-all-you-can, eat-all-you-can restaurant.
Appetizers are served on the table. This is Korean, right?
First stop: Japanese station. Sushi and sashimi overload! Some of their rolls are one-of-a-kind.
The also have a variety of meats soaked in different sauces. You can choose from tender/marbled ones. AND THEY ALSO HAVE OX TONGUE!
I regret not being able to try most of the cooked stuff at the Korean station. My grandmother says the Chap Chae is good (this is like pancit bihon, Korean noodles perhaps?). I grabbed tempura at the next station and a friendly staff offered to pour the sauce for me. Another attendant also served me Japanese rice. And the iced tea refills never stop! For someone who could finish a glass in one sip, it’s really awesome!
I was so full, I barely had room for dessert. Well, I just want to have two scoops of mocha ice cream with loads of marshmallows—my usual in buffets.
I can go on and on raving about the service. They fare better than most buffets in the metro. The staff is very efficient when it comes to clearing up dirty plates on the table. They are also accommodating and helpful. I hope they can keep up with this, since the next step is expanding.
I can’t wait to go back there again with an empty stomach. Yes, this dinner happened after this lunch. I wish I jogged around Eastwood 5 times before I stepped inside Sambokojin. Here’s to hoping they open more branches ASAP! Gah, I feel bad reading raves about food I didn’t get to taste. Hahaha. I. Shall. Return.
