Salmon and Mango

After another busy day at work, my officemate and I were treated by the boss with good food and conversations over dinner.

We had dinner at Conti’s Pastry Shop and Restaurant. I settled for my Conti’s favorite: Baked Salmon.

It still tastes garlicky and cheesy just the way I like it but the serving size was disappointing. A year ago, the same order can be shared by two people. The dish served tonight was just enough to feed me (I’m no glutton but a little more to eat is good). The mens ties we see in malls are probably wider than the slice of salmon on my plate earlier.

Dessert was the Mango Tart. The only cake I have tried from this pastry shop is their famous Mango Bravo and surprisingly, I liked Mango Tart more than the Mango Bravo. There’s more mango flavor in it—it’s been a while since I tasted a dessert that seems simple but with a nice hint of sweetness.

Looking at the pictures now, I realized that our orders earlier are my favorites. I only eat four kinds of fruits, namely mangoes, avocado, melon and bananas. I occasionally eat other fruits such as peaches and buko, but usually when they are mixed in salads. For seafoods, salmon is my number one fish—raw or cooked, it’s delish!

This reminds me, I should really make a serious list of food I eat so that my friend who knows how to cook can come up with recipes for my baon!
