Since I was accustomed to having Internet connection readily available, the last weekend was a bugger for me. Slow downloading speed for Saturday and no connectivity at all the next day. Storm Juan might have caused the connection to be faulty. That, however, did not stop me from checking out gaming sites in search for new games to try on Belle, my PlayStation Portable (PSP). I’m admittedly very impatient, so it’s really surprising that I managed to actually wait for the web pages to load just so I could read reviews and comments about the game titles.
I visited Data Blitz today and got myself a copy of The Sims 2. Sims Castaway was my second choice but I didn’t want a spin-off so I chose TS2. Now I’m hooked! I wasn’t really into Sims when it was a big hit on PCs but I was familiar with the gameplay. The console version is almost the same with the original version, only that the buy and build mode is not really the core of the game. The only thing I didn’t check when I bought the UMD was the theme of the game—essentially an adventure in Strangetown, which is well, a strange town. It’s an adventure game with a little suspense and mystery going on. It’s really interesting save for the fact that I get a shocker once in a while.
It’s a good enough game, but it would have been better if everything ran smoother and faster.
