It is only when people get older that they start to think about the future and take things seriously. Some start planning for their future family, others preoccupy themselves with term life insurance quotes or profitable investments. Signs of maturity, I say. But sometimes, people do it for them to reach their dreams.
I came across this link on Yahoo! Travel entitled “7 Cities About to Sink” and was shocked to find out two cities I want to visit someday are on the list—Bangkok (Thailand) and New York City (USA)—a list I wouldn’t want them to be part of (or any other place, actually). I’m looking forward to a trip to both cities in the future but I guess I should really think long-term now for me to afford the costs of going to both! I want to see for myself the floating markets in BKK1 that I only see in postcards, and of course, shop till I drop at Chatuchak weekend market. And then New York! The movie Serendipity fueled this dream. Oh, I wonder how delicious Serendipity 3’s Frozen Hot Chocolate is! Then there’s Central Park and Times Square. And the lovely NY cityscape. Ahh, I shall blame Gossip Girl too!
Thank goodness it’s free to dream.
