It’s the MM Mall!

MarQuee Mall

An Ayala Mall in Pampanga

Through the years, malling has quickly become a lifestyle for Filipinos. It’s no wonder then that malls spring up like mushrooms everywhere. I even blogged about one of my favorite malls in the metro some weeks ago.

The recently opened MarQuee Mall will impress you if you have been impressed by the Ayala Malls in Metro Manila. Located in Angeles, Pampanga, this mall looks similar to the ones in the metro and basically houses similar shops and restaurants. I don’t think there’ll be something new for consumers to expect in malls in the near future, I guess it will now be a neck-to-neck battle in terms of aesthetics. I like how they allocated space for the outdoors but the inclusion of fountains make kids want to take a shower right then and there… bad. :P

MarQuee Mall

The design of the mall follows other infrastructures in the metro like Greenbelt and Bonifacio High Street

It’s a fairly new mall, so there aren’t a lot of people roaming around even on a weekend. A major, major relief for the shopper who doesn’t want to get stressed with the crowd usually found in TriNoma (or in any Quezon City mall for that matter). We weren’t able to completely check out the mall, and based from what I saw, the interiors are quite similar to Market! Market!, only less congested with strategically placed wide corridors.

Marquee Mall

Soon to rise is Marquee Place, a proposed CBD in Pampanga

And since we are on the subject of Ayala Malls, I just realized that there are two more malls I haven’t visited yet—Ayala Center Cebu and Abreeza in Davao (which will be completed in 2011). This chain of malls is easier to visit versus the numerous SM Malls in the country, right? :)
